“My work is chaotic and it involves many different mediums. Even though I do show in galleries, it’s kind of one little bit of what I do.” —Cory Arcangel.
Happy early birthday to post–conceptual artist Cory Arcangel, born on May 25, 1978. His past exhibition at Lisson, currentmood, featured a range of image and video-based works that are pulled from his hard drive and captured his attention at one point in time. His work reflects on internet culture, and how much of our time is simply spent “browsing.” Here, he spoke at Whitechapel Gallery London.
From Lisson Gallery:
Cory Arcangel discusses his engagement with art and technology in a talk at Whitechapel Gallery in London, held on the occasion of the artist’s exhibition currentmood at Lisson Gallery London (20 May – 2 July 2016) and his participation in the group exhibition Electronic Superhighway (2016-1966) at Whitechapel Gallery (29 January – 15 May 2016).
