We saw the need to have a dedicated video platform for the art world, and hope that Daily Plinth will have a broad, positive impact on our community. We believe that the deeper engagement afforded by video content will lead to increased real-world engagement with art.
Daily Plinth is proud to have been a member of the 2018-2019 NEW INC cohort! As the first museum-led incubator for art, design, and technology, NEW INC does unique and important work, and we are proud to join the adventure. Cornell DeWitt, Publisher & Editor of Daily Plinth is now a mentor for current NEW INC members.
Where is our editorial content from?
Our editors select videos produced by museums, foundations, public art projects, biennials, art fairs, galleries, nonprofit arts organizations, independent art world content producers, and artists making an impact on our world. Videos typically range from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, except for our long form offering on Saturdays. To submit a video for consideration, please email us at editor@dailyplinth.com.
Daily Plinth features daily content chosen for its quality and timeliness, with the following schedule as a general guideline.
Monday: MUSEUMS
Tuesday: GALLERIES
Wednesday: STUDIOS
Thursday: COMMUNITY
Friday: MARKET / LONGFORM / VAULT
We also feature selections from guest editors, whose voices and interests are reflected in their selections.
Visitors to the site have the opportunity to rank each video and share them on their own social media platforms.
