“My work starts where I stop to understand it. I try to understand a case in whatever it is, if it is physics, or if it is philosophy, or I don’t agree, or I don’t understand it, I would explain it for myself, and my explanation for myself is my work.” —Alicja Kwade

Alicja Kwade is very busy right now. She is currently featured in a solo exhibition ENTITAS at König Galerie Berlin (in the St. Agnes Nave, until November 11, 2018), and has a long-term outdoor installation TunnelTeller at Castle Hill at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts (through April 2019). Kwade is also included in the group exhibition Space Shifters at the Hayward in London (through January 6, 2019), and the monumental group exhibition The Moon at the Louisiana in Denmark (through January 20, 2019). Finally, there is the exhibition Out of Ousia at the Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen. The Louisiana Channel brings us this studio visit.
