MUSEUM: Sylvie Fleury: Eternity Now

The Bass

The Bass is back!

Eternity Now, a permanently installed work in neon, rests atop the historic facade of The Bass. Both the phrase and font were appropriated from a popular fragrance brand by the artist. The work references the transitory nature of scent while evoking an immeasurable span of time. “Eternity Now amplifies the museum’s present, and infinite future all at once, while also speaking to the visitors of Miami Beach,” states Silvia Karman Cubiñá, The Bass’ Executive Director and Chief Curator.
