“I always find that you have to be a bit mad to become a stone-carver.” —Anna Rubincam
Going a bit out of our usual purview for this gorgeous mini-documentary today. We first spotted this video as a selection by National Geographic for their Short Film Showcase. Shot by Eyes and Ears in a stone-carving studio in London, A Continuous Shape follows artist Anna Rubincam from measuring her subject, through creating a clay model, to the splitting and carving of stone, as she discusses what drives her to create in stone.
