A look at a fascinating collaboration between BMW and Liu Xiaodong.

Watch Chinese artist Liu Xiadong bring his #WeightofInsomnia project to life as machines become both the painter and subject.

Commencing in September 2017 at the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing as part of a collaborative project with ZKM Karlsruhe, the body shop’s robotic facilities and other sites have been used to create this unique installation. The work combines human creativity with the uniformity and precision of manufacturing technology to develop beautifully original ideas showcased in an innovative format.
