LONGFORM: The Unconventional Images and Sounds of Samson Young
Bloomberg – Brilliant Ideas
09.08.2018“That’s what makes really great artists, is when you can look at their practice and see the interlaced relationships across all these different works, which may not appear to be connected on the surface, but underneath there’s a foundation of thinking there. And I think Samson’s one of the artists who has that in their practice.” —Pauline Yao, Curator Visual Art, M+ Hong Kong
Multidisciplinary artist Samson Young has had a busy year, with a solo exhibition “Songs for Disaster Relief World Tour” this past spring at M+ Hong Kong, and no less than six group shows, including “One Hand Clapping” (through October 24, 2018) at the Guggenheim in New York. Two years ago, Bloomberg profiled Young and his work in their Brilliant Ideas series.
