MUSEUMS: Barbara Kruger Keeps Questioning, 30 Year Later
The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles
11.26.2018“One would hope that in the 30 years since, things would have changed a bit. And things have changed – for the good, and for the bad, and for everything in between.” —Barbara Kruger
In one of his first moves – and technically, his first exhibition – as new Maurice Marciano Director of The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Klaus Biesenbach reinstalled Barbara Kruger’s monumental wall work, Untitled (Questions) (1990/2018) on the side of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. On view now through November 2020. In this video, Kruger discusses the work, its original inspiration, and how she views it 30 years later, as it maintains its relevance.
