You know we can’t get enough of Robert Rauschenberg here at Daily Plinth, so here’s a great video from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art‘s exhibition Robert Rauschenberg: Erasing the Rules, running November 18, 2017 through March 25, 2018.
Composition, taste, symmetry, order—Robert Rauschenberg broke all the rules and rejected comparison with other artists. By collecting and presenting everyday experiences and objects, including tin cans, Coke bottles, newspapers, and tires, Rauschenberg’s work invites us to “look somewhere else” and change the way we see the world.
