“The pieces that they have are these two clusters of boxing gloves hung on thick metal chains and the boxing gloves have been reworked and remade using used wedding dresses so they’re very frilly, and lacy, and floral, and tuille-y, and they look very pretty. But when you get in close, you can see that they are actually boxing gloves and so there’s that conversation between the hard and the soft, and the stereotypically masculine and the stereotypically feminine. …It’s kind of inspired by, but also a response to, this line in a Keat’s poem… Ode on Melancholy”—Zoë Buckman
