From Burning in Water:
Burning in Water – NY is pleased to present a show of new work by Eric LoPresti. The exhibition encompasses several different media, including large paintings on linen, mixed media works on paper and altered digital photographs.
“An Ocean of Light” is focussed on LoPresti’s quintessential subject: the “atomic landscape” of the American West. Recent solo exhibitions of LoPresti’s work include “Blueprint Paintings” at University of Rochester (NY), “Test Site” at the National Atomic Test Museum, part of the Smithsonian Institution (Las Vegas).
