One of the many highly anticipated gallery exhibitions opened recently is acclaimed British painter Frank Bowling’s first solo outing with his new gallery Alexander Gray Associates. With a major retrospective currently being organized for the Tate in 2019, this clip from the documentary Frank Bowling’s Life and Work offers insight into Bowling’s decision to move to New York in the 1960s – where he still maintains a studio – and his studio practice for the last five decades.
