“The idea of making a twenty meter light text piece is really really ambitious, and it’s quite exciting. In fact, it’s quite nerve–wracking, because, you know, it might not work!” —Tracey Emin
Happy birthday to Tracey Emin, born on July 3, 1963! Emin is represented by White Cube, Xavier Hufkins, and Lorcan O’Neill.
Currently, Emin is the fourth Royal Academician to create an artwork for the Terrace Wires at St Pancras International railway station in London. In this video, Emin discusses how, in the largest text piece she has ever made, the words remind travelers to stop and take a moment in one of the UK’s busiest stations.
