Founded in 1988, TEFAF Maastricht (open through March 24, 2019) is the pre-eminent fair covering “7,000 years of art history.” But before one even enters the fair to take in the overwhelming survey of art, design, and jewelry, TEFAF is renowned for the most incredible entrance displays of any fair. Designed in collaboration with Tom Postma Design, Stabilo, and Ten Kate Flowers, this year the inspiration for the new design at the entrance comes from the succulent plant. Here is a brief behind-the-scenes look at the massive production and installation of this spectacle.
