Phaidon has recently published Lucian Freud – the most comprehensive publication to date of the work of Freud, one of the greatest painters of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. To mark the occasion, Phaidon visited with David Dawson, long-time studio assistant to Freud, to take a look around the studios. In this video, Dawson explains the differences between the night and day studios.
