You know what else we can’t see right now? Charline von Heyl’s show at the Hirshhorn. Organized in cooperation with the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg where it ran in the summer of 2018, Charline von Heyl: Snake Eyes, opened at the Hirshhorn on November 8, 2018, and is supposed to run through January 27, 2019. So for the next in our ongoing series, Great Art You Can’t See Right Now Because of the Chuckleheads In Washington, we’re bringing you this interview with von Heyl from the Deichtorhallen. In this interview, the great New York-based painter talks about the origin of the title of the show, and how it relates to her approach to painting. At least we can enjoy this!
