MUSEUMS: Music and a Drink with Manet – For a Happy Holiday Season

12.24.2018On now through January 20, 2019 at the National Gallery in London is Courtauld Impressionists: From Manet to Cézanne, a collaborative exhibition with The Courtauld Gallery (which is closed for “around two years” for major renovations), traces the development of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings through a selection of over forty masterpieces from each collection. In this video, curator Anne Robbins discusses the importance of two of Edouard Manet’s pivotal masterworks, Music in the Tuileries Gardens (1862 – from the collection of the National Gallery, London) and A Bar at the Folies-Bergère (1882 – from the collection of the Courtauld Gallery).
