The Brooklyn Museum marks the third stop in the international tour of the acclaimed exhibition Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power, and arguably marks a sort of homecoming, as many of the artists began their association in New York. After stops at Tate and Crystal Bridges, the Brooklyn Museum iteration (now through February 3, 2019) has opened with a bang. Its final stop will be at The Broad in Los Angeles. In this video, we get a preview from the Brooklyn Museum-based curator Ashley James and meet some of the artists involved.
